Sam Lloyd and Shaun Higgins have been added into Adelaide’s Fan Fantasy team heading into this weekend’s ‘Fantasy Showdown’ against Port Adelaide.
Lloyd exploded onto the Fantasy scene in his debut with Richmond last week posting 107 points and swelling by over $30k in value. The mature-aged small forward booted three goals against Collingwood and looks a safe downgrade option to boost our Fantasy salary cap.
Higgins, an often-maligned Fantasy selection, was too tempting for Crows fans at his current price of $370,507. The talented 26-year-old has recorded scores of 95 and 127 points in the past two rounds and should continue his rich Fantasy form against a struggling Carlton outfit this Sunday.
The pair replaces Eddie Betts and Gary Rohan to bolster our forward line whilst also improving our Fantasy financial standing.
As expected, our opponent’s team features a host of players from their own AFL side, with a whopping nine Power players currently in Port’s Fan Fantasy squad.
Our defensive lines are almost identical, so we will be relying on the likes of Rory Sloane, Tom Liberatore, Dayne Beams, Dustin Martin and Jarryd Roughead as our main points of difference to post a winning score.
Gary Ablett was once again selected to carry our Fantasy captaincy for Round Five.
