Fans have selected Crow defender Matthew Jaensch and young Pie Tom Langdon to be added to Adelaide’s Fan Fantasy side.

The pair replaces the underperforming Hawk Grant Birchall and Swan Jeremy Laidler in defence, ensuring Adelaide’s fan-selected team is ready to battle North Melbourne in the first head-to-head round of the Fantasy season.

On the captaincy front, Gary Ablett was the resounding choice for Crows fans. Our Fantasy spies also report that the Kangaroos will also back ‘Gaz’ as skipper to respond this week after a disappointing 80 points in Round Two.

There was more good news for our side at the selection table last night, with gun youngster Matt Crouch set to make his debut for the Crows on Saturday against the Swans. Crouch was a ball magnet in the TAC Cup last year averaging 37 disposals per game and will add great depth in our midfield.

The return of Sam Mitchell is also a relief for our team after the veteran Hawk was a surprise late withdrawal last week.

Sam Shaw has been moved to the bench after he was omitted from Adelaide’s side, leaving Luke McDonald as our backup on the pine.

St Kilda ruckman Billy Longer will join Shaw as the only other player who will fail to pull on the boots for our side this weekend at this stage.

Stay tuned throughout the year to afc.com.au, and the Club’s Facebook and Twitter accounts to continue to have your say in Adelaide’s AFL Fan Fantasy team.
