Adelaide midfielder Brad Crouch had copped a whack over his golf obsession from teammate Taylor Walker.
Crouch, who has been regularly hitting the links, has managed to shave his handicap down to single digits.
Walker, however, told Triple M’s Roo & Ditts he has no idea how Crouch’s partner lets the midfielder get away with it.
“I don’t know how Brad still has his beautiful girlfriend Britt,” Walker joked.
“It’s got me absolutely beat… he’s playing a least five times a week.
“He’s into single figures (for his handicap), down to eight or nine.”
STATE RESTRICTIONS: Crows, Power quarantine exemption hinges on better Covid-19 record on east coast
Walker said he was eager to reunite with a larger group of teammates to train once the restrictions are eased.
“I’m looking forward to getting back,” he said.
“Have a bit of a run around, (today) I’m going down to the oval with Bradley… I’ll be putting him through his paces.”
AFL clubs are expected to be given three full weeks of training before the season re-commences.
“The last thing you do is the body contact and competitive stuff,” Walker said.
“Can you get that done in three weeks? Probably not.
“(But) I’m as fit as I can be in terms of running and weights… you just don't’ have the competitive side.
“We’re going to have to wait and see how three weeks will play out.”
