Crows CEO Andrew Fagan has issued the following comments in response to the SA Government declaring its reluctance to allow AFL teams into the State for at least the early stages of a re-started 2020 season.
SA Premier Steven Marshall prefers a modified fly-in, fly-out model where the Crows and Power remain based in Adelaide but travel to each of their games due to current interstate COVID-19 infection rates.
”However, in these unprecedented times, we will always heed the advice and direction of medical experts and acknowledge that we must put the health and well-being of the community first and foremost.
“With this in mind, our Club is open-minded and willing to be flexible to ensure the return of football as soon as possible.
“We are also aware of ongoing discussions between the AFL and State Government, albeit our Club is not directly involved.”
