Dangerfield amassed 33 possessions, seven clearances and also kicked two important third-quarter goals to try to lift Adelaide in front of his old home crowd. The performance earned him five votes from Brenton Sanderson and Chris Scott in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award.
Unstoppable Cat Tom Hawkins collected maximum votes (10) after kicking 3.3 from 19 possessions.
Reigning Club Champion Scott Thompson was the only other Crow to poll a vote on Saturday. Thompson, who gathered a season-high 40 disposals and also eight clearances, received four votes. The seasoned midfielder remains in third place (72 votes) on the overall leaderboard, eight behind outright leader Trent Cotchin (80).
Tom Lonergan (four), Allen Christensen (three), Paul Chapman (two) and James Kelly (two) split the remaining votes.
