Young key defender Fischer McAsey is set to play his first game in Crows colours this Saturday in an Under 23 trial game against Port Adelaide at Thebarton Oval.
Last year’s No.6 draft pick has impressed in his first pre-season at West Lakes and will be joined as a defensive key by Jordon Butts, who played in last week’s Marsh Series game, and Kyle Hartigan, who will make his return from minor ankle surgery.
At the other end of the ground, emerging forward Darcy Fogarty will spearhead the Crows’ attack alongside Elliott Himmelberg and Billy Frampton.
Frampton will support Kieran Strachan with the ruck duties, while Chayce Jones, Patrick Wilson, Ben Keays and Myles Poholke will lead Adelaide’s engine room.
Paul Seedsman will also play on Saturday after the wingman missed the Crows’ opening Marsh Community Series game against Melbourne.
Other 2019 draftees Harry Schoenberg, Josh Worrell, Ronin O’Connor and Lachlan Gollant have all been named in Adelaide’s 28-man squad, which will be coached by State League Senior Coach and Development Manager Heath Younie.
Wayne Milera, Lachlan Murphy and Tyson Stengle have not been named for the Crows after playing in last weekend’s first pre-season hit out.
For fans wanting to attend the game at Thebarton Oval, first bounce is 12pm ACDT. The two teams will play four 25-minute quarters with no time on.
A live stream of the game, to be produced by AFC Media, will commence at 11.50am ACDT and can be accessed via afc.com.au or the Adelaide Crows Official App.
