Adelaide will run out onto Etihad Stadium for this Friday night’s season opener against Essendon accompanied by the Club’s existing team song.
The AFL re-recorded 15 of the 18 team songs, but the Crows have elected to retain their current version for the 2018 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
Crows Chief Executive Officer Andrew Fagan said the Club saw no need to adopt a new version of the song.
“Like many of our fans, we consider our song to be a sacred part of our Club and it evokes such passion, especially on match days,” Fagan said.
"We didn’t ask for it to be re-recorded and would embark on a thorough review involving our loyal supporter base if we were to ever consider a change.
“Let’s hope we get to hear it sung nice and loud after lots of games this year.”
