A group of young talents from the state’s C7 Amateur Football League
In their most exciting training of the year, teams from Goodwood Saints, Kenilworth
The players were coached by Adelaide’s Rory Sloane, Eddie Betts, Tom Lynch, Andy Otten, Reilly O’Brien, Sam Gibson and Patrick Wilson.
They were taken through handball, tackling and goalkicking drills by the players, before an autograph and photo session.
The session was particularly special for the Goodwood and Eastern Park players who will face off in the Grand Final this Saturday.
Sloane said the boys loved the chance to train at the Club before their big day.
“We’ve got the Goody Saints and Eastern Park who are playing in the grand final on the weekend, so we had to get them ready for the granny, and boy, they trained well,” he said.
“They came around with smiles on their faces and just wanted to be competitive and have some fun.
“To do some stuff with these guys is pretty special.”
The C7 Amateurs is a division in the Adelaide Footy League dedicated to players with integration difficulties.
