Dual Adelaide premiership coach Malcolm Blight has added Crows Life Member to his extensive list of football accolades.
Blight was one of four to receive Life Membership at the Crows’ Corporate Season Launch on Friday night for his outstanding contribution to the Club.
An inaugural member of Adelaide’s hall of fame, Blight was only at the helm of South Australia’s first AFL club for three years but led the Crows to back-to-back premiership glory in 1997-98.
Key defender Daniel Talia was also awarded Life Membership.
Selected with pick No.13 in the 2009 AFL Draft, Talia has played 186 games for the Crows after making his debut in Round 15, 2011.
He went on to win the 2012 AFL Rising Star Award, the 2014 Malcolm Blight Medal and is a two-time All Australian.
In 2018, the 28-year-old reached his 150-game milestone and has become known for his complete professionalism and ability to nullify the opposition’s best key forward week in week out.
Also receiving Life Membership is Robert “Bob” Foord, who joined the Club on the Investment Committee in 2008 and joined the Board in 2011.
The experienced Board and Crows Foundation Board member mentored a number of players over the years and took lead roles in both philanthropic and property projects within the Club.
Sadly, Foord passed away in December 2017, and it was with a heavy heart the Club presented his wife Sheryn with his Life Membership.
Crows Supporter Group member Yvonne Livingston was the fourth to become a Life Member, falling under the unsung hero category for her countless volunteer hours spent fundraising for the Club.
Livingston joined the Crows Supporter Group in 1999 and became Fundraising and Events Coordinator in 2000.
She is a regular at the Club supporting both the Men’s and Women’s teams and the Club’s Indigenous programs.
