Crows AFLW player Erin Phillips has undergone successful minor arthroscopic surgery to repair a small meniscal tear on her reconstructed knee.

Phillips felt some pain at training on Saturday morning before having the minor surgery on Wednesday.

Crows General Manager of Football Administration Phil Harper said incidents such as this are quite common after suffering an ACL injury.

“It’s a slight setback for Erin but it’s not uncommon to have minor irritations in returning to play after ACL reconstructive surgery,” Harper said.

“Whilst Erin is keen to play as soon as possible, we will be guided by the club's medical team in conjunction with Erin on her return to play.”

Phillips will resume training with the group when they return in the new year.
