Mark Moody and Colleen Gwynne have been named as the assistant coaches for the Crows’ AFL Women’s team.
Darwin-based Gwynne will join senior assistant Andrew Hodges in managing the Northern Territory-based recruits for the inaugural season of the competition, while Moody will assist senior coach Bec Goddard in Adelaide.
A prolific figure in NT footy, Gwynne’s impressive coaching-record speaks for itself, having never lost a game as a coach and steering the Waratah Football Club to five consecutive NTFL women’s flags, including last season’s win over the Wanderers.
Last month Gwynne was also recognised for her unparalleled standing in women’s football in the Territory by having the NTFL’s best and fairest medal in the Women’s Premier League division named in her honour.
Moody has strong credentials have held coaching roles at the Ethelton, Goodwood, Woodville South and Portland in the SAAFL as well as with Peel Thunder in the WAFL.
He has had many years of coaching and playing experience, and has also worked with the SA Women’s State Team.
The inclusion of Gwynne and Moody now completes the coaching structure for the Crows women’s team, with Tate Kaesler also appointed to an advisory and development coach position.
