Carlton’s Levi Casboult has accepted a one-match ban for striking Adelaide’s Kyle Hartigan during Sunday’s clash at the MCG.

Casboult was cited by the AFL Match Review Panel for hitting Hartigan with a strike to the mid-section during the second term of the Crows’ 60-point win over the Blues.

The defender was attended to by trainers, but was able to recover from the hit and play out the game.

The MRP deemed contact to be intentional and of medium contact to the body. The incident initially attracted a two-match suspension from the Match Review Panel, but an early guilty plea reduced the sanction to one match given Casboult’s clean recent record.
