On this day in 2004, Crows legend Mark Ricciuto played his 250th game for the club - a Round 10 victory over the Hawks at the MCG.
Adelaide and Hawthorn had won just two games each by Round 10 and the loser would slide to bottom of the AFL ladder.
Spurred on by a three goal, 35 disposal performance from Ricciuto, the Crows burned Hawthorn to the tune of 86 points - 20.13 (133) vs 6.11 (47).
Fifteen years on, Ricciuto can’t remember every touch, but he can recall how much the performance meant to himself.
“I always like milestone games, either for myself or for my teammates,” Ricciuto said.
“I enjoyed celebrating that success with my mates because that was what the game was all about, for me.
“It made me try a just a little bit harder, or made sure we’re all focused because to me it was a special occasion and I was always hellbent on making it a winning game for whoever it was, whether it was me or a teammate.”

He picked up three Brownlow votes for his efforts, finishing second in the Medal that season with 23 votes, behind West Coast’s Ben Cousins (30 votes).
This weekend, the Club will celebrate a smaller milestone in Wayne Milera Junior’s 50th AFL game.
Ricciuto said it can still feel just as big as a 250th for young players.
“Fifty and 100 games are smaller but they’re all key milestones when you’re building your career,” he said.
“If you take pride in your performance and want to build a solid career then every game’s important.
“In some ways the 50-game milestone at that point of your career is the most important game you’ve played.
“As an individual if you are serious about how you’re received you try to play well in every game, but especially big games.”
