After raising $66,000 earlier this year by shaving his mullet, Taylor Walker is again helping to shine the spotlight on the Leukaemia Foundation, as the Blue Lantern Ambassador for their annual Light the Night event.
People will walk along Elder Park on September 25 holding lit lanterns: gold to remember someone, white to reflect on their own blood cancer journey and blue to support others.
Taylor joins gold ambassador Stephanie Hunter and white ambassador Lily Block, 4, who has been fighting Leukaemia for just over 12 months. It was Lily, who inspired Walker to cut off his mullet after they met in February through Taylor’s work with the Crows Foundation.

"I know first-hand the great feeling you get from doing something to help South Australians facing a blood cancer diagnosis like Lily," Walker said. "The more blue lanterns we can shine on the night, the brighter the hope for children like Lily will be."
Lily has spent 12 months pretty much in quarantine, but her white blood cells are just starting to recover, which means she can enjoy Light the Night event.
"I think the lanterns will look beautiful, like stars in the sky," she said. "It's not fair that I have Leukaemia and I am happy now I feel better again - well, most of the time."
Light the Night is at Elder Park on Wednesday, September 25 from 5.30pm-8.30pm.
