Collingwood midfielder Taylor Adams has been cleared by the Match Review Panel for his tackle on Crow Brodie Smith.
Smith was concussed when his head made contact with Travis Varcoe’s leg after he was slung around in a tackle from Adams in the fourth quarter. The All Australian was taken from the ground on a stretcher and assessed before joining in the song with his teammates post-match. He’s rated as a ‘test’ to play against Melbourne at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.
The Match Review Panel looked at the incident, but deemed that the injury was caused by circumstances outside of the control of Adams. No further action was taken.
