Scott Thompson and Sam Kerridge will both be available for Adelaide’s season opener against North Melbourne on Easter Sunday.
The midfielders have recovered from minor hamstring complaints. Kerridge sat out the Club’s final NAB Challenge match against Port Adelaide after suffering a minor setback at training. Thompson, who didn’t feature in the pre-season competition, also strained his hamstring at training.
Crows ruckman Sam Jacobs said it would be up to the coaches and fitness staff whether the duo lined up against the Kangaroos this weekend.
"He (Thommo) will be available so I think it'll be up to Walshy and the coaches whether they're comfortable with the work he's done," Jacobs said.
"Thommo's obviously a pretty important player to us. He's played [for] 16 years or whatever it is ... so I think he's got enough pre-seasons under his belt. He's obviously a real professional ... if he comes in I've got no doubt he can come in and play his role."
Young onballers Brad Crouch (foot), Riley Knight (ankle) and Rory Atkins (knee) are all likely to spend about another two months on the sidelines. Knight is out of the moon boot following surgery to repair ligaments in his ankle.
No time frame has been put on the returns of Andy Otten (knee), Sam Shaw (hamstring) and Brent Reilly (fractured skull), who are all recovering from long term injuries.
