Five Crows have been fined for their involvement in the three-quarter time melee during Saturday’s clash with Melbourne at Adelaide Oval.
Rory Sloane was deemed to be the instigator of the melee and has received a $1,500 sanction with an early plea. A first offence for being the instigator a melee is a $2,500 sanction. An early plea can reduce the penalty to a $1,500 sanction.
Scott Thompson has been charged with a second offence for engaging in a melee and can accept a $1,500 sanction with an early plea. A second offence for engaging in a melee is a $2,500 sanction. An early plea can reduce the penalty to a $1,500 sanction.
Taylor Walker, Josh Jenkins and Matt Jaensch have all received $1,000 fines for first offences for engaging in a melee. A first offence for engaging in a melee is classified as a $1,500 sanction. An early plea can reduce the penalty to a $1,000 sanction.
Demons Bernie Vince, Nathan Jones, Dean Kent and Jay Kennedy-Harris also received fines.
There were no other charges laid by the Match Review Panel out of the match.
