The Adelaide Football Club has broken another Membership record, reaching 60,000 for the first time in its history.
The new mark beats the previous record of more than 57,000 set last year and comes as the Crows get ready to celebrate their 25th season in the AFL.
Importantly, the number of 11-game Members who have access to each of the Club’s home games at the Adelaide Oval stands at 43,668 - a figure which is among the highest in the league.
Crows Chief Executive Officer Andrew Fagan said the record was testament to the loyal supporters who are clearly excited about the new era under Senior Coach Phil Walsh and Captain Taylor Walker.
He said playing matches at the world-class Adelaide Oval was also a contributing factor.
“The player, coaches, staff and volunteers at our Club are overwhelmed by the support,” Fagan said.
“The loyalty and passion shown by our fans is extraordinary.
“We had the highest home match attendances in the AFL last year and we hope to once again be leading the way in 2015.”
Fagan encouraged all Members and fans to be there on Sunday for the Club’s season opener against North Melbourne and asked those who could not make it to pass their ticket onto family and friends.
“We fly as one so make sure you get along to see Walshy take charge in his first home and away match as Senior Coach,” Fagan said.
The Club still has general admission Membership packages available, including 3-game Memberships which start at $90 per adult.
“We want as many people as possible to enjoy the colour and excitement of a Crows home match,” Fagan said.
“There are a range of options still available and I urge Crows fans who are yet to sign up to do so.
“Season 2015 is about to begin and we want as many people as possible to join us on the journey.”
