A POSSIBLE season-ending shoulder injury to exciting forward Jared Petrenko and a hamstring injury to defender Sam Shaw has soured Adelaide's brilliant come-from-behind win over Fremantle on Friday night.

Petrenko hyperextended his right shoulder just before the final siren and immediately left the field.

The 22-year-old was in tears after the game and was consoled by teammate Rory Sloane as the pair left the field.

The two new blows will severely test the Crows' depth, especially in the absence of NAB AFL Rising Star Daniel Talia, who broke his arm against the Sydney Swans last week.

Petrenko didn't have much impact in Friday's contest, but at his best can quickly turn games in Adelaide's favour.

Shaw was subbed out of Friday's semi-final at quarter-time.

Coach Brenton Sanderson will have to reshuffle Adelaide's setup for the second time in two weeks but he remained confident the Crows had the depth to cover their losses.

"It looks like Shaw's in trouble, I mean it's hard for me to say but it looked like he jagged his hamstring early," Sanderson said.

"I'm not sure about the Petrenko one, but I'll catch up with the medicos after this.

"It's another challenge for us, we'll have to restructure the group again. Andy Otten was close to playing this week so he's one that springs to mind ... Matthew Jaensch, there's still plenty of guys in good form.

"Luke Thompson came in tonight after one game for the year and he more than held his own, so we've said all year we've got good depth and we've said all year that if we need to call on players that we could get an even contribution."
