Eddie Betts’ hanger against St Kilda is officially in the running for the AFL Mark of the Year.
The exciting small forward soared over Saints defender Sean Dempster in the goalsquare late in the opening term of last Saturday’s clash at Adelaide Oval.
Betts, who booted six goals against the Saints in what was his best return as a Crow, catapulted skyward and held on long enough to claim the mark right on the goal line.

The grab was voted the best mark of Round Seven and is now in the running for the major prize. Betts attracted a whopping 48 per cent of this week’s vote ahead of Essendon’s Joe Daniher (36 per cent) and Lindsay Thomas (17 per cent).
Adelaide now has two contenders in the 2015 Mark of the Year competition. Crows captain Taylor Walker won the Round Six nomination for his huge fly against the Suns at Metricon Stadium.
David Mackay also earned a nomination for his courageous mark against the Demons in Round Three but did not win the weekly vote.
At the conclusion of the home and away season, the All-Australian Selection Committee shall select the three best goals and marks from the 23 weekly selections.
