Adelaide has won the past two meetings between the teams. The Crows overcome the Pies at Adelaide Oval in Round Nine last season and backed up with a win at the MCG in Round 18.
The Crows have won three of the last four clashes with Collingwood at Etihad Stadium, but the Magpies won the most recent one in Round Nine, 2011.

Adelaide will also be without one of its leading possession-getters, Brad Crouch, from Round 18 last season. Crouch, who is recovering from a fractured foot, had 29 disposals against the Pies.
Magpies skipper Scott Pendlebury has averaged 32.5 possessions in his last four games against the Crows.
The biggest-ever crowd for an Adelaide v Collingwood game was 88,960 in the 2002 Preliminary Final at the MCG.
The Pies ranked second in contested possessions (165) and inside 50ms (61) in Round One.
Adelaide’s highest score against Collingwood was 22.19 (151) at Football Park in Round 21, 2005. The 110-point win on that day is also the Club’s biggest-ever over the Magpies.
The Club’s lowest score against the Pies was 5.7 (37) at Victoria Park way back in 1991.
Tony Modra holds the record for most Crows goals in a game against Collingwood. Modra slotted eight at Victoria Park in Round Six, 1996.
Two former Crows captains share the record for most disposals in a game against Collingwood. Chris McDermott amassed 39 possessions in Round 24, 1992. Ten years later, Simon Goodwin also racked up 39 (Round 14, 2002).
The Crows and Pies have met twice previously in Round Two of a season in 2000 and 2005 for one win apiece.
