The Adelaide Football Club is launching a Hall of Fame as part of its 25th season festivities.
The gala event will be held on Wednesday, April 29.
CEO Andrew Fagan said it was fitting for the Club to introduce a Hall of Fame this year.
“With 2015 being a significant year in the Club’s history, we feel time is right to start honouring past players, coaches and administrators, who have had a profound influence,” he said.
Among the criteria for Hall of Fame inclusion is years of service, games played and personal achievements, including premierships and Club Champion awards, as well as personal qualities like leadership, integrity and courage.
Playing staff, coaches and administrators are only eligible for induction upon retirement from the Club. A player may only be eligible for induction if they have retired from playing at the AFL and State League level.
The selection panel is made up of well-rounded, highly credentialed football identities with Chairman, Rob Chapman, to announce each member at the Season Launch on Wednesday night. Inaugural board member Adrian Sutter, chairman of the club’sheritage committee, will lead the Hall of Fame selection committee.
