It's the two-for-one deal Adelaide hopes can be the nucleus of its midfield for years to come.
Good mates Jordan Gallucci and Myles Poholke have joined their Crows teammates for the first time since being taken with the Club's first two picks in last Friday's NAB AFL National Draft.
Gallucci's name was called out with the 15th overall selection before Poholke went at pick 44.
Poholke said Gallucci had all the tools to make an impact at the next level.
"Jordan brings that X-factor to the team," Poholke said.
"He works really hard, he's a leader.
"He's definitely someone you want on your side rather than playing against.
"He's been a massive help for me since I came into the program and showed me the professionalism that's needed and I can't wait to play with him."
The pair's move interstate to unfamiliar surroundings has been made easier after they were a part of the national academy.
"He gave me a call straight after his name was called out, it's a good feeling," Gallucci said.
"You know that person already so it helps with the transition."
Gallucci has the ability to play anywhere on the ground, but his speed will be a great asset to a midfield that was exposed at times last season for being too one-dimensional.
He isn't fazed by the expectations that come with being the Club's first pick in the draft.
"Once you get into the footy environment, your pick is only a number, it goes out the window pretty quickly," Gallucci said.
"I'm just going to bring to the team whatever they need and hopefully it can be a positive to the team."
Poholke watched the draft from home, with his friends and family celebrating wildly when his name was read out.
"It was a really good night, I had about 10 mates over and my brother had a few mates over as well," he said.
"I had a dream on the Thursday night that I had been drafted by the Crows.
"I didn't know what to make of it at the time, so I might have had a little bit of a hunch."
The Crows rounded out their draft selecting key defender Elliott Himmelberg with pick 51, midfielder Matt Signorello at pick 62 and forward Ben Davis at pick 75.
The Crows have guaranteed Ben Jarman a spot on their rookie list as a father/son selection if he isn't picked in the pre-season draft on Monday.
