The Adelaide Football Club is proud to announce that leading employment and community services provider Workskil Australia has joined the Crows as a major sponsor of the women’s team.
Together with retailer Harris Scarfe, Workskil Australia will be a co-major sponsor of the team for 2017 – the inaugural season of the AFL’s national women’s league.
The partnership, which is the first major sports sponsorship undertaken by Workskil Australia in its 35-year history, will see the SA-based business’ logo on the guernsey as well as other team uniform, apparel and major assets.
Adelaide Football Club Chief Executive Officer Andrew Fagan said the Club was delighted to be welcoming another new partner in Workskil Australia.
“We’re extremely proud that our women’s team has the support of a successful and established SA born organisation,” Fagan said.
“Workskil Australia has a strong focus on assisting youth, women and Indigenous people in the community and therefore it’s a great fit for the Club and the national women’s league.
"It is exciting to have two new partners, neither of which have previously undertaken sports sponsorships, join our Club to support our women’s team.
“We see this as a great endorsement of the Club’s genuine commitment to supporting women and girls who want to be involved in football.
“It also shows great foresight by Workskil Australia and Harris Scarfe who are keen to be part of an exciting new era in Australian sport.”
Workskil Australia CEO Nicole Dwyer said the partnership was a great fit for Workskil Australia with the league’s strong focus on youth, Indigenous and women.
“This is a great opportunity for us to work with the Crows’ women’s team to inspire others while also supporting our clients with a great focus on the women, youth and Indigenous within our community,” Dwyer said.
“We see this partnership as a great way to drive awareness of our services so we can find greater employment opportunities for our clients.”
The sponsorship news follows the recent signings of Senior Coach Bec Goddard, marquee players Chelsea Randall and Kellie Gibson, priority pick players Courtney Cramey and Angela Foley as well as rookie Jasmine Anderson.
Adelaide is among eight clubs to have a women’s line-up with Carlton, Collingwood, Melbourne, Western Bulldogs, Fremantle, Brisbane and Greater Western Sydney also competing in the inaugural season which kicks off in February 2017.
