Kyle Hartigan is free to play in Adelaide’s Semi-Final against the Sydney Swans at the SCG.
Hartigan can accept a $1,500 fine for tripping North Melbourne forward Lindsay Thomas in the second quarter of the Club’s Elimination Final win on Saturday night.
Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the North Melbourne Football Club, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact to the body.
The incident was the second classifiable offence for Hartigan and was therefore classified as a $2,500 sanction. An early plea enables him to accept a $1,500 sanction.
Fellow Crows defenders Daniel Talia and Kyle Cheney have also been fined for their involvement in a melee during the second quarter. Both can accept a $1,000 fine with an early guilty plea.
Kangaroo Drew Petrie was charged with insigating the melee, while Jack Ziebell, Andrew Swallow and Shaun Higgins were also fined for being involved.
Backman Michael Firrito has been offered a $1,500 fine for striking Adelaide ruckman Sam Jacobs. Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Adelaide Crows Football Club, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact to the body.
