Rick Henderson was concussed in the Club’s round-one win over Gold Coast, but completed training during the week and will line-up against the Dogs in midfielder Scott Thompson’s 200th AFL game.
A number of players put in strong performances in the SANFL last weekend, but coach Brenton Sanderson said he had to reward the team that played well against the Suns.
“As much as guys are belting the door down with good performances in the SANFL, the guys in the team are holding up their end of the bargain too,” Sanderson told afc.com.au.
“The competition for spots is still really alive, but at the moment we can’t really fault the 22 who are in there.
“‘Hendo’ was a bit stiff last week getting knocked out, but he’s made a full recovery and is keen to get back out there.
“He’s had good pre-season form, so it’s best to keep that rolling.”
Matt Wright, who travelled with the team last week, Matt Jaensch and Brad Symes are the emergencies.
