Taylor Walker scored his best AFL Fantasy total of the season in his side’s 75-point victory over the Gold Coast Suns on Saturday afternoon.
Walker amassed 116 Fantasy points, kicking a season-high five goals from 19 possessions, including nine marks.
The Adelaide captain has had a modest year thus far on the Fantasy front, with his previous best total of 94 coming in his side’s Round One loss to North Melbourne.
With a value loss of $108,000 this season and a break even of 41 heading into this weekend’s clash with Greater Western Sydney, Tex now presents a relatively low-risk option for Fantasy coaches with the potential for big reward.
Three other Crows scored Fantasy centuries at the weekend with new Crow Paul Seedsman recording the second-highest total on the ground.
Seedsman’s 107 is his best score for his new club and his first total of more than 100 since his Anzac Medal-winning performance for Collingwood in Round Three of last season.
The 24 year-old dual position DEF/MID has been a popular choice for Fantasy coaches, and with an attractive break even of 62 heading into Round 10, expect his 16 per cent ownership to increase even further.
Joining Seedsman in the century club were the perennially consistent Tom Lynch and Rory Sloane.
Sloane had 27 possessions, including five marks and seven tackles for a score of 106, notching up his third Fantasy ton in his past four outings.
The courageous midfielder has averaged 111.6 over his past five matches and, after a slow start to 2016, he is now one of the form players in the competition. He’s also historically scored big against GWS.
Lynch’s 103 was his second biggest total of 2016, behind only his huge score of 132 in Showdown XL.
Despite his consistency – averaging 91 through nine rounds – Lynch has not caught the eye of many Fantasy coaches and with a break even of 89, it will be intriguing to see if he’s added to many teams this week.
Jarryd Lyons is another Crow that will be catching the eye of punters with another strong showing against the Suns bringing his average over the past three up over the 80-point threshold.
Lyons, who is listed as a FWD/MID has now piled on $99,000 value despite only playing five games this season and with a break even of only 34 heading into Round 10, his stocks show no sign of slowing down.
Also worthy of a mention is Daniel Talia, who recorded his highest ever AFL Fantasy score of 93.
The talismanic defender had 23 touches, including 9 marks and a goal - just the sixth his AFL career.
