Crows AFLW joint vice-captain Courtney Cramey has become the first female to join Adelaide’s Past Players and Officials Board.
Cramey will join several ex-Crows players including Rod Jameson, Peter Caven, Nigel Smart, Mark Bickley and Mark McGill.
The Board supports former Adelaide players and officials and regularly meets to discuss new initiatives.
Most recently, the Board was involved in was the ride for Mark Mickan to raise funds for Parkinson’s Disease.
Cramey said she was passionate about supporting those who have given their time to the football club.
“Something I hold dear to my heart is helping people who served the Club,” Cramey said.
“My real passion is looking after our players and people of the Club that have committed their time, effort and service and making sure they are well looked after.”
The defender was proud to be the first female representative on the Board.
“It is an evolving space with AFLW growing and the expansion, so to have representation at board level with a female is really important to make sure the girls have a voice too,” Cramey said.
“It’s good that I can do that on behalf of lots of female officials that have been part of Adelaide for many, many years, and now with the AFLW players that have played for our Club as well.”
