In Season 2018, Adelaide will host Carlton for the first time in eight years.
The Crows and Blues have never met at Adelaide Oval.
In a quirk of the fixture, the last seven games between the teams have been played in Victoria.
Carlton’s most recent trip to South Australia to play Adelaide was at Football Park in Round Four, 2010.
Of the Crows team that played that day only captain Taylor Walker, who was playing just his 18th game, and veteran pair Richard Douglas and David Mackay remain at the Club.
Forward Eddie Betts and trade period recruit Bryce Gibbs lined up for their former side, Carlton.
The Blues have played at Adelaide Oval twice previously, resulting in two losses to Port Adelaide.
The Round Seven match next season will also mark Gibbs’ first game against the Blues.
Gibbs played 231 games for Carlton before joining the Crows in the recent trade period.
The star midfielder will also face his old team on Victorian soil in Round 23.
