Defender Jake Kelly has been ruled out of Adelaide’s twilight clash with Gold Coast on Saturday.
Kelly, 22, was accidentally poked in the eye in the second quarter of Adelaide’s win over Essendon.
He sat out the second half and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
General Manager of High Performance Matt Hass said the Club wouldn’t take any risks with the injury.
“Jake consulted a specialist and it was recommended that he have the week off, “Hass said.
“He will be reassessed early next week.”
