Crows forward Tom Lynch is recovering from viral meningitis after falling ill earlier in the week.
Lynch, 26, has spent some time in hospital but is expected to make a full recovery shortly.
Crows senior medical officer Dr Marc Cesana said Lynch was already feeling better but the Club would continue to monitor his health.
“Tom became unwell earlier in the week and subsequent tests revealed a viral infection,” Dr Cesana said.
“He is already on the improve and we expect him to return to the Club next week when a decision on his availability will be made.”
The Club asks that the privacy of the Lynch family be respected at this time. There will be no further comment at this stage.
