Three AFL Academy players will train with Adelaide next week to gain an insight into the training and day-to-day life of professional footballers.
South Australian prospects Izak Rankine (West Adelaide), Connor Rozee (North Adelaide) and Hugo Munn (Sturt) will call West Lakes home during their upcoming training placement.
Rankine is a speedy small forward/midfielder who booted 13 goals for West Adelaide from 10 senior SANFL games in 2017. In just his second game for the Bloods, as a 16-year-old, Rankine kicked four goals and tallied 24 disposals in a loss to North Adelaide.
Rozee is a classy midfielder/forward with elite speed, silky skills and a desire to tackle, chase and get his hands dirty, while Munn is a key position prospect, standing at 196cm and weighing 92 kilograms at just 17 years of age.
The trio all played in the NAB AFL Under 17 All Stars game in September, with Rankine a clear standout after booting four goals for the day. Rozee collected 20 touches for Team Enright, while Munn, who stands at 196cm, booted a goal.
Rankine and Rozee have been floated as potential top-10 selections in what is considered a bumper draft crop next year, with West Adelaide product Rankine the only bottom-ager to earn All Australian honours following this year’s Under 18 championships.
Glenelg's Darcy Fogarty, who was selected by Adelaide with pick No.12 of this year's National Draft, trained with the Crows as part of the same program in 2016.
