JED LAMB has yet to train since being knocked out by Bachar Houli but Carlton remains hopeful the forward will be available for Saturday's clash against Adelaide.
Richmond defender Houli received a two-week suspension on Tuesday night when the AFL Tribunal found him guilty of an intentional strike for his backhand hit on Lamb last Sunday that concussed the Blues forward and ensured he took no further part in the game.
On Wednesday the AFL lodged an appeal against that decision on the ground the penalty was "manifestly inadequate".
Although the Blues have not ruled Lamb out of the Crows game, if the 24-year-old does not train on Thursday he would appear an unlikely starter given the club's only remaining session this week is a light captain's run on Friday.
Lamb was playing his third straight senior game against Richmond, having fought back from an injury-delayed start to 2017 that saw him play four games in the VFL before earning an AFL recall in round 12.
