Fantasy guru Calvin from the Traders casts his eye over a few Crows following the Club's opening JLT Community Series match at Etihad Stadium.
Fantasy coaches had their black book out for this one and with Rory Sloane and Scott Thompson on the sidelines, there were plenty of opportunities for minutes in the Crows' midfield. Fresh from averaging 88 in the SANFL, Harrison Wigg (MID, $150,000) racked up plenty of the ball for his score of 87.
Former Giant Curtly Hampton (DEF, $204,000) was very impressive as he found the ball all over the ground. He had the second-highest score with 89 and after not managing a senior game last year, he's certainly put his hand up to be a Round One starter.
It was great to see Andy Otten (DEF, $150,000) playing again at AFL level after missing the past two seasons. He looked good with a solid score of 71 to give himself a chance come Round One. Jake Kelly (DEF, $210,000) has been in the same boat as Otten and hasn't played for the Crows since 2015. He took the most of his chances, laying six tackles in his score of 88.
The ruck battle was an intriguing one with Sam Jacobs (RUC, $534,000) and Reilly O'Brien (RUC, $340,000) sharing the load for Adelaide. Jacobs was pulled from the game early due to a minor injury, so don't lose too much sleep over his 44-point score.
Of the premiums, no one was better than Rory Laird (DEF, $584,000), who collected 33 possessions and a game-high 117. With 20 per cent ownership in the backline, he's a popular pick who didn't disappoint. Lock him in.
