Adelaide midfielder Hugh Greenwood has travelled with the Crows' 25-man squad to Melbourne ahead of Saturday's Grand Final against Richmond.

Greenwood has a sore calf, but he was with the Crows when they departed Adelaide Airport on Thursday afternoon.

"He got through training yesterday, so we expect him to play," Crows assistant coach Scott Camporeale said.

"He's fine, he got through training yesterday and he ticked all the boxes."

With Greenwood cleared to play, the Crows are likely to take an unchanged team into the decider.

Midfielder/forward Wayne Milera travelled with the team and would be Greenwood's replacement if something was to happen during Friday morning's light training run at the MCG.

Ruckman Reilly O'Brien was also with the squad as he has been on several trips this year as cover for big man Sam Jacobs.

"We've got a body of evidence with the team that we played, particularly in the last month, which would suggest that that's the right mix for us, but we'll finalise that this afternoon," Camporeale said.

Forward Mitch McGovern, who was ruled out on Wednesday with a hamstring injury, also travelled with the team.

"Mitch has played a lot of footy for us this year and it's one of those hard-luck stories, it always happens this time of year unfortunately," Camporeale said.

"We love Mitch and the playing group love having him there, so he's played an integral role for us to get there, so yeah, we want him around."

McGovern's absence is set to allow utility Andy Otten to retain his place in the side, which would cap a monumental comeback.

Otten missed the 2015 season recovering from a torn ACL, while he played all of last season in the SANFL.

Having started his career as a defender, the 28-year-old has played at both ends of the ground this year.

"Timing's everything, isn't it?," Camporeale said.

"It's a great story, 'Otto'.

"He's had two knee reconstructions and he probably never thought he would get an opportunity to be here.

"But what he's done from day one of pre-season, to come back and really force our hand to pick him (has been great).

"He's given us flexibility at both ends of the ground, which is important at this type of year."
