The Crows have made one change for Sunday’s top-of-the table AFLW clash with Carlton.
Midfielder Justine Mules replaces the injured Sophie Armitstead, who will miss the remainder of the AFL Women’s Competition after having surgery to repair a torn meniscus in her left knee.
Mules, who wears the No.23, played in Adelaide’s season opener before being squeezed out of the team that beat the Western Bulldogs. The 22-year-old was crowned the South Australian Women’s Football League (SAWFL) rookie of the year in 2014 and has represented South Australia.
Monique Hollick and Sarah Allan have been named as emergencies.
The undefeated Crows and Blues will do battle at 11:35am (local) at Thebarton Oval on Sunday. Entry to the match is free, with gates opening at 9:45am.
The game will be live on Channel 7 into South Australia and on Fox Footy nationwide. Fans can also tune into a free live stream via AFL.com.au or the official AFL App.
Girls aged 5 – 18 are invited to attend a ‘Come and Try’ clinic on the oval at 10:00am. Participants will also receive giveaways including a Crows women’s team poster and player cards. Registrations will take place at a marquee just inside the main entrance gate.
Open from 9:45am until half time, there will also be a Kids Zone near the northern goals with plenty of fun and free activities for all young football fans.
The CROWmania merchandise van will be stocked with the AFLW range and other supporter wear, while the Member Services Team will be on hand to field membership enquiries. Visit the stall and enter the Member Draw to be in with the chance to win one of 10 AFL women’s Crows team-signed footballs.
If possible, fans are encouraged to make a gold coin donation to the Crows Children’s Foundation upon arrival. With a charter to raise and distribute funds for children in need through health, education and welfare programs, this year the Foundation will support all of the Club’s community programs in addition to donating over $100,000 to children’s charities.
