The Crows have named their inaugural team for Saturday’s AFLW season opener against Greater Western Sydney.

Co-captains Chelsea Randall and Erin Phillips will lead the Club in the historic match at Thebarton Oval. Olympic and WNBA basketballer Phillips, who sat out the trial game against Fremantle last month, will play her first game of football in more than a decade.

Veteran Courtney Cramey has also been named after joining Phillips on the sidelines in Darwin.

Midfielder Jenna McCormick was the only player unavailable for selection in Round One. Dual-sports athlete McCormick will honour a commitment to soccer team Canberra United, who are playing in a W-League Semi-Final on Sunday.

The Northern Territory-based Crows players, including joint vice-captains Ange Foley and Sally Riley, arrived in Adelaide on Thursday ahead of the official season launch at the South Australian Museum.

Entry to Adelaide’s clash with GWS this weekend is free. The game starts at 4:35pm (local) with gates opening at 2:45pm.
