Adelaide has had a fourth 2019 home and away game revealed prior to Thursday’s official fixture release, with the team set to head to the MCG in Round 19 to face Carlton according to Channel 7 Adelaide.
The two sides went head-to-head in Round 23 this year, with Adelaide running out 104-point winners to end their difficult season on a positive note.
Next year’s clash is set to have greater scrutiny, following Mitch McGovern’s move to Ikon Park during this month’s Trade Period after 48 games in the tricolours.
Adelaide and Carlton have had plenty of history at the trade table, with Bryce Gibbs (traded at the end of 2017), Eddie Betts (2013) and Sam Jacobs (2010) all departing the Blues for West Lakes in recent years.
The rights to Shane McAdam were also traded to the Crows as part of the McGovern deal, and the West Australian will be hoping to showcase his talents against the Blues at the home of football.
The full 2019 Toyota AFL Premiership Season fixture will be released on November 1.
The Crows will host Hawthorn in the Opening Round at Adelaide Oval, while visits to Darwin (Round 11 v Melbourne) and Ballarat (Round 23 v Western Bulldogs) have also been confirmed in recent days.
