Crows midfielder Cam Ellis-Yolmen has been withdrawn from the team to face West Coast on Saturday afternoon at Adelaide Oval.

Ellis-Yolmen was named in the Round 15 team on Thursday evening, however a minor quad injury will keep him out of the side for 1-2 weeks.

“Disappointing for Cam. It probably wasn’t until last night when I had a chance to talk to the doctor, he [Ellis-Yolmen] had a scan and it looked like it was just a slight quad there,” coach Don Pyke told reporters on Friday morning.

“He felt it on Wednesday, that’s why we got him scanned yesterday. He was pretty confident, but once the scan came out … By the time we all circled around on it, it was too much of a risk.”

Young forward Myles Poholke replaces Ellis-Yolmen in the final 22, with Ben Davis added to the emergencies.
