Patrick Dangerfield has recovered well from a knock to his ribs and will play against Melbourne at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon.
Dangerfield, 24, was felled by side-on contact from Daniel Giansiracusa on half time of Adelaide’s win over the Western Bulldogs on Sunday. The two-time All-Australian was attended to by trainers, but was able to play out the game despite discomfort.
Defenders Sam Shaw (corked leg) and Ben Rutten (knee) will both face fitness tests ahead of the Club’s clash with the Demons. Rutten has missed the past two matches with a niggling knee injury, while Shaw was substituted early in the last quarter on Sunday.
State League captain Ian Callinan will be assessed after injuring his hamstring at Glenelg on Friday night. Rising Star runner-up Brad Crouch (fractured leg) is a fortnight away from a return, while rookie-listed ruckman Jack Osborn is listed as 1-2 weeks with a back complaint.
Skipper Nathan van Berlo (Achilles) and utility Ricky Henderson (ankle) are TBA.
The Crows will have an open training session at Adelaide Oval from about 10:30am on Friday, May 2. The session will last approximately one hour. Entrance is via northern gate or Southern Plaza. Limited parking is available at the northern end.
Adelaide will take on Melbourne at 4:10pm (SA time) on Saturday. Ticketing and match day information is available here. The State League Crows team will head to Clare for its SANFL Showdown against Port Magpies at 2:10pm on Sunday.
