At just 23 years of age, Matt Crouch has already established himself as a key player for the Crows and the midfielder’s emergence was rewarded at the start of 2018 with promotion into Adelaide’s leadership group.
Heading into Round 20, Crouch has thrived while learning from the club’s best and on The Crows Show, brought to you by Foodland, he takes us through his journey from a young gun to leader.
“I was lucky enough to be put into the leadership group and get a bit of experience through there,” Crouch said.
“It’s a big honour to be in that group.
“We’ve got a couple of really good leaders in there and I feel like I’ve learnt a lot off them throughout the year.”
Crouch said the great leaders in the game let their actions do the talking just as much as their words.
“The best leaders do perform on game day,” he said.
“We got a few guys who do that really well and I think that’s a major part of leadership.”
This week we also see what it is like living a day in the life of an assistant coach, and Mark Bickley discusses the best Showdown players to grace the game.
Brodie Smith is joined by Cassius on the Thomas Farms Junior Jam, while Josh Francou gives us a greater insight into the Showdown rivalry.
