Crows AFLW players Eloise Jones and Jessica Sedunary got up close and personal with a crocodile during the team’s Darwin camp over the weekend.
At Crocosaurus Cove in Darwin city, Jones and Sedunary were lowered into croc-infested water in a cage and swam with William, a five-metre long crocodile.
Jones said that it was a unique experience that would stick with her for some time.
“I enjoyed being able to get so close to the crocodile without dying,” Jones told AFC Media after the dive.
“It was really cool to see how well they move underwater considering they are so big.”
Jones said although she was calm in the water, Sedunary had a few jumpy moments.
“I think Sedge was a nervous wreck, but I do give her credit as she did well to try hide it,” Jones said.
“She clung onto me a couple of times which made me laugh considering her muscles are the size of my head and I would 100 per cent not be able to protect her.”
