Young Adelaide midfielder Chayce Jones has revealed the experienced Crows who have helped him settle into AFL life.
The number nine draft pick told The More You Crow podcast that Rory Sloane and Bryce Gibbs had been the most influential in his first year at West Lakes.
“Sloaney and Bryce Gibbs, they’ve been awesome with tactics and body work,” Jones said.
“It’s been unreal for me as an inside midfielder.”
Looking ahead to the 2020 season, Jones said he had one key area of his game he wanted to improve.
“My body work in a stoppage is what I want to work on the most - working with Sloaney and Gibba this year has been a stepping stone,” Jones said.
“I’m trying to get to that next level next year.”
Podcast counterpart and fellow first-year Crow Will Hamill listed Andy Otten and Richard Douglas as the senior Crows who have helped him the most.
“Having him (Otten) down back has been phenomenal for my development,” Hamill said.
“He’s like a coach on the field.
“Off the field, Richard Douglas has been really instrumental… always really warm and welcome.”
Also on The More Your Crow this week, Jones talks Hamill’s messy eating habits and the pair share their highlights of 2019.
