Crows forward Eddie Betts is one of three finalists for the AFL Goal of the Year thanks to his Round Five snap against Gold Coast.
In his 300th AFL game, Betts collected the ball on the boundary line, took one step and fired through his sixth goal of the day with a left-foot checkside.
The goal came from the same pocket at Adelaide Oval as his 2015 and 2016 Goal of the Year winners. He also claimed the 2006 crown while playing for Carlton.
Betts earned five weekly Goal of the Year nominations in 2019.
Essendon’s Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti and West Coast’s Willie Rioli are this year’s other Goal of the Year finalists.
Public votes are worth one vote and AFL All Australian committee members votes are worth 10.
Voting will remain open until Friday, September 13 and the winner will be announced at the Brownlow Medal on September 23.
