Patrick Wilson pieced together another strong SANFL season to finish second in the Magarey Medal count after averaging 26.8 disposals per game.

The 24-year-old picked up 21 votes, five behind winner Luke Partington (Glenelg) and his form rarely faltered.

Wilson earned votes in 50 per cent of his games and was named best on ground five times, while also being the only Crow named in the SANFL Team of the Year.

In 2019, he led the SANFL Crows  in disposals, marks, contested possessions, hard ball gets, tackles, clearances and inside-50s.

Wilson earned senior selection in Round 19 for the clash with Carlton, his second AFL game.

It’s hard to look past Wilson’s eye-catching 22 tackles against Sturt in Round 11… but his early season outing against the Eagles was dominant.

Wilson had 43 possessions, 11 marks, 10 inside-50s and six clearances at a composed 83.7 per cent disposal efficiency.

By foot, his 27 kicks fired off at 81.5 per cent efficiency in the Crows’ hard fought 23-point win.
