Can the Crows miss finals?
With just one round left of the AFLW season, AFC Media take a look at the three potential scenarios facing the Crows in Round Seven.
If Adelaide wins…
They’ll almost certainly secure top spot in Conference A and a home preliminary final.
Given the Crows’ superior percentage entering the final round, the only way they can be toppled is if they have a small win over the Demons and North Melbourne defeats Fremantle by around 10 goals.
If Adelaide loses by 26 points or more…
It’s season over, as the Demons will jump the Crows on percentage and relegate Adelaide to either a third or fourth-place finish in Conference A.
If Adelaide loses by 25 points or less…
There will be some very nervous Crows watching the Fremantle v North Melbourne game.
In simple terms, the winner of the game will finish on top of Conference A, leaving Adelaide in second place and facing an away preliminary final against the top-placed finisher in Conference B.
However, there is a result that would eliminate the Crows from finals contention.
In the event the Dockers and Kangaroos game concludes with scores level, both teams will finish on 22 points which would push Adelaide (20) to third.
