Adelaide midfielder Izak Rankine has received a Goal of the Year nomination for his classy boundary line finish against the Bombers on Saturday.
Receiving a handball from Jake Soligo on the wing midway through the third term, Rankine took possession and quickly outran Bombers defender Andrew McGrath.
Approaching the 50 metre line, he assessed his options before setting his sights on the goal and having a shot, with the ball sailing through the big sticks.
The effort capped an eye-catching performance, as the forward turned midfielder kicked two goals, had six score involvements and registered 15 disposals before being subbed off for management purposes in the third term.
Rankine is the second Crow to receive a Goal of the Year nomination, following Josh Rachele’s recognition against the Saints last week.
