Ebony Marinoff’s exceptional 2024 campaign has culminated in being crowned Adelaide’s Club Champion for a second consecutive season.
The 27-year-old joins teammate Anne Hatchard in receiving the award a record three times, after topping the count with 425 votes at the Club’s AFLW awards night on Friday.
Tonight’s accolade tops off an outstanding season for Marinoff who was also crowned the AFLW Best and Fairest, AFLW Player’s MVP, AFLW Player’s Best Captain and the AFLCA’s Champion Player of the Year.
Adelaide’s Club Champion is determined by coaches rating every player with a score from 1-8 after every game.
Marinoff finished ahead of former Captain Chelsea Randall, who was runner-up with 385 votes, and fellow midfielder Hatchard who was third with 377.
Randall’s impressive ninth season was also recognised by her peers and Crows Members, winning the Players’ Player Award and the Members MVP Award.
The consistent Hatchard averaged 23.7 disposals and 4.9 clearances to finish inside the top three for the seventh consecutive season, while All-Australians Caitlin Gould and Chelsea Biddell rounded out the top five.
In other honours presented on the night, Gould claimed the Leading Goal Kicker Award for her dominant season up forward, in which she booted a career-high 20 majors and earnt her first All-Australian blazer.
Promising young defender Zoe Prowse received back-to-back Best Defensive Player awards for her stellar season, in which she played every game, averaging 9.5 disposals at 67.7 per cent efficiency, 3.5 spoils and 21 tackles.
