Adelaide has improved its first selection in the upcoming Telstra AFLW Draft as part of a pick swap completed on the second day of the AFLW Trade Period.

The Crows received Pick No.12 and Pick No.48 in exchange for Picks No.16 and No.34, in what was a six-club trade involving Adelaide, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Collingwood, Geelong and Richmond.

Adelaide Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said the Club was pleased with the outcome of the trade.

“We entered the AFLW Trade Period with a strong focus on trying to move higher up the draft order,” Harper said.

“Trading up to Pick 12 will give us an even greater opportunity to secure a high-end talent in the upcoming AFLW Draft.”

The AFLW Trade Period runs until Wednesday, December 11. The Telstra AFLW Draft will be held on Monday, December 16.
