Adelaide ruckman Kieran Strachan has become a three-time Crows SANFL Best and Fairest winner, after taking out the 2024 award at the Club Champion event on Saturday night.

Strachan is the first player in Adelaide’s history to have claimed the State League award for a third time, having won it in 2021 and 2022.

The 29-year-old recorded 524 hit-outs this past SANFL season, averaging 32 across 16 games.

That included 40 hit-outs against North Adelaide in Round Four, 44 against West Adelaide in Round Eight and 43 against North Adelaide in Round 15.

He also averaged 15.9 disposals and four clearances per game, while also finishing the season with a total of six goals.

Strachan was also named in the  SANFL Team of the Year for a fourth consecutive season.

The State League Club Champion voting process follows the same protocol as the senior side, with the coaching panel, led by Michael Godden, rating every player from 0-10 after each match.

A winner was not selected in 2020 as the Crows did not take part in the 2020 SANFL season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
